We all know very well that the tech giant Apple’s application store, of course, App Store has always been seen as the most attractive to developers. However, now according to the latest reports, the tech giant Apple’s App Store generated double the revenue than Google Play Store.

It’s 10 years of Apple’s App Store and still, it continues to be the most prosperous and profitable business model in the history of software and services. As the tech giant Apple’s application store has always been seen as the most attractive to developers.

Data show as we move into the second half of 2019, the App Store continues to have almost double the revenue of the Google Play Store.

Application analyst firm Sensor Tower published its global application revenue data this week during the first half of the year. As it has become the norm, the figures show how much Apple’s App Store revenue generates compared to competitors.

According to Sensor Tower, users of the Google Play App Store together spent $34.4 billion on apps and games for mobile devices during the first half of 2019. This represents a 27.8% increase in relation to the first half of last year.

By platforms, App Store customers spent about $22.6 billion during the first half of the year, which is almost double that of Google Play, where customers spent $11.8 billion.

The Google Play Store, in this period, despite having a lower revenue than the tech giant Apple, has achieved faster growth. Spending on the App Store grew 26.8% over the previous year, while spending on the Google Play Store increased by 29.7%.

It is important to note that the App Store is available in China, while Google Play is not and this can make a difference.

Another data that shows some advantage of Google Play is the number of downloads of apps that are downloaded for the first time. Here the tech giant Google users have unloaded 36 billion apps, while in the Apple Store only 15 billion users have downloaded applications. Still, the numbers show that from year to year there was a 13.1% increase in these downloads.

This time the Google Play Store, although it has a lower revenue than the App Store (almost half of the value), is experiencing a faster growth in revenue and the number of downloads is also frankly higher than the tech giant Apple’s App Store.
