The title of this article may seem quite different, simply due to Craig Federighi, who spent this month leading the department responsible for the tech giant Apple’s personal assistant brand Siri, a position formerly held by Eddy Cue, who remains responsible for iTunes, Apple Music, and Maps.

Apple’s Siri Team Gets A Brand-New BOSS

Craig Federighi spent this month leading the department responsible for the tech giant Apple’s personal assistant brand, a position formerly held by Eddy Cue, who remains responsible for iTunes, Apple Music, and Maps.

Software engineer Craig Federighi (also known as Mr. Hair Force One) has been leading the iOS and macOS teams for several years.

Federighi began working with Steve Jobs when the latter was still CEO of NeXT. When the tech giant Apple bought NeXT, Craig Federighi went to work for another company. Still, in 2009 he returned to the tech giant Apple to lead the Mac OSX team ( the name given at the time to the current MacOS).

A new project for Craig Federighi

Now is the time for Federighi to lead a new project, going to the commands of the Siri assistant. This passage from Siri to the hands of Craig Federighi seems to reveal that the tech giant Apple wants to go further.

With Craig, of course, Mr. Hair Force One overseeing the macOS, iOS, and Siri, it will be easier to bring Siri’s integration with the tech giant Apple branded operating systems to a whole new level.

At this point, the tech giant Apple users might be sad, as the tech giant Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa are superior to Siri. The tech giant Apple should try everything to stay alive in the “Personal Assistant War” and Craig Federighi’s leadership could be a step in the right direction.
