Google Photos is a great photo management app available for both Android and iOS. Now, it looks like the app recently got some amazing AI features.
Google is slowly rolling out several AI updates to its Google Photos app, including iOS support for conversation edits. The new AI features of Google Photos are powered by Gemini’s imaging tool Nano Bana.
Photo Editing with text prompts
Yes, Google Photos will allow you to edit your favorite photos with simple text prompts. The ‘Help me Edit’ option on Google Photos lets users type requests like ‘remove the photo bomb’, ‘open my eyes’, ‘make someone smile’, etc.
Basically, you can make AI do your editing stuff for free, just by typing simple text prompts.
Google Photos: How to Edit Photos with Text Prompts?
Editing photos with text prompts is super easy on Google Photos. To do that, follow these steps.
- Open the Google Photos app and select the photo you want to edit.
- Tap the Edit button at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the Help me edit field.
- Now you can enter the text prompts to edit your photos.
- You can try prompts like ‘Studio lighting’, ‘Replace Background’, ‘Enhance this image’, or whatever you want.
Other than this, Google is also adding a ‘Create with AI’ section on the Create tab on Google Photos. This will help you create images instantly based on popular edits.
Also, there’s an addition of an ‘Ask’ button in Google Photos that will let you interact more easily with the photos.
