Qualcomm, the chip-maker has announced new perfect gigabit LTE modem including three new Snapdragon processors. These processors include 625, 435 and 425 which are having faster LTE connectivity.

Qualcomm claims that its X16 modem can provide download speed up to 1 Gbps which is amazingly very fast. This great speed can enable us to download full HD movie in just 30 seconds.

It would also boost streaming on your smartphone, which means your Netflix and Amazon Instant Video Binges will play buffer free and efficiently.

According to Executive Vice President at Qualcomm, Cristiano Amon “In addition to serving as a significant milestone for the mobile industry, the Snapdragon X16 LTE modem is a powerful testament to Qualcomm’s continued technology leadership in all things wireless,”.

“Not only does the Snapdragon X16 blur the lines between wired and wireless broadband, it marks an important step toward 5G as we enable deeper unlicensed spectrum integration with LTE and more advanced MIMO techniques to support growing data consumption and deliver an even faster and smoother user experience.”

These mid tier chips are likely to make debut at MWC in the ending of this month and are designed in such a way to provide functionality which is usually found in premium phones, including camera, video, gaming as well as connectivity to the extensive mobile ecosystem.

Among these chips, Snapdragon 625 is the most outstanding chip. It is 14 nm, eight core ARM based processor which provides 35% reduction in battery consumption as compared to older generation. Amazingly, it supports LTE speeds up to 150 MBPS. Besides this, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chip also supports high resolution up to 24 MP, 13 MP as well as 4K video recording.
