We all know very well that the tech giant Google has vast number applications on its app store, yes, I am talking about the well-known Google Play Store. However, now according to the latest reports, the tech giant Google just removed a popular Android app from its Play Store.
Google Just Removed This Popular Android App From Play Store
SuperSU is one of the most famous tools that we have used to root our smartphone. Currently, there are tools such as Magisk that facilitate the process and this has made the old chainfire software to fall into oblivion. Hence, now SuperSU has disappeared from the tech giant Google’s well-known app store, of course, Google Play Store without leaving a trace.
It was really an expected move since Chainfire ceded the development of SuperSU to CCMT in 2015. 3 years after this acquisition SuperSU is officially dead, as well as the year that we have been carrying out without updates in the development team’s social networks and the deactivation of the tool’s support forum. In fact, the last update we can find the application dates from January 2019.
Many people wonder why a company like CCMT bought an application to let it die in such a way because we are talking about a tool used by millions of Android users across the globe. It is true that with the passage of time rooting a phone has become something absurd, but it is still striking the situation experienced with SuperSU.
Will we see the tool again?
The well-known media platform, of course, I am talking about the Android Police have tried to contact the company, but didn’t get any response. Most likely, it was not CCMT who deleted SuperSU from Google Play Store, if not the tech giant Google itself might have done so, automatically, simply for not meeting the requirements of the store.
One of the most possible causes is the breach of the COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), the US law on the protection of children’s privacy on the Internet that applies to websites, applications and services aimed at children under 13, as well as those for the general public with users of this age group.
Since the app has not been updated for months, the emergence of new policies in the Google Play Store may have caused SuperSu not to comply with any of them and the tech giant Google has been forced to permanently remove the tool from its application store.
Even with everything, there is still a SuperSU app available for download in the Google Play Store: Super SU Pro, the paid version of the well-known tool that, like the free app, has not been updated since 2017.
