Huawei Is Building Its Own Virtual Assistant

Huawei has achieved a strong brand position in the smartphone market. It is currently the third largest brand and seeks at all costs to beat the tech giants like Apple and Samsung. Once it has proven that it can build high-end smartphones, but, now it’s time for Huawei to create its own virtual assistant, which will compete with Siri, Google Now and even Samsung’s new proposal, Bixby.

Although not yet widely used, these virtual assistants have already shown that they are essential and that users are quickly getting used to their presence, using them daily.

In order not to lose space for competition, Huawei will be preparing its own version of a virtual assistant, which it will use in its devices. From what is known, and that is still very little, Huawei will have more than 100 people working on this novelty.

The focus, for now, is the artificial intelligence and the capabilities that it wants to give it. Moreover, Huawei is also focused on its native language, which reveals that the brand intends to present this virtual assistant in China.

This may be the opportunity that Huawei has been waiting for, thus managing to gain ground in China, where the tech giant Google and its services can not enter. This way, there is an alternative to Google Now and the local language.

Of course, Huawei will have to extend the presence of this assistant to other markets, but in that, they will have to maintain more careful management over there. Markets such as the America, where the brand wants to grow, and which is essential to its plans to become the world’s largest maker of smartphones, will have to continue to maintain its offer based on Google Now and Amazon, which is native of Mate 9.

However, with the new proposal from Huawei and with the expected arrival of the virtual assistant of Samsung, Bixby, there is a very strong competition and that will certainly bring news.
