Huawei has gained the confidence of the market in recent years. With the approach of the month of November, the presentation event also approaches that is already scheduled for the Nov 3 where it will show the new betting of the Chinese brand in the phablet segment, Huawei Mate 9 and 9 Pro.
These versions will debut with the Kirin 960, the new processor of the Chinese brand that provides 8 cores with the clock speed of 2.6 GHz, this one is little more powerful against the Kirin 955 that equips the Huawei P9. In addition to this processor, these new models will still be able to count on a GPU Mali-G71, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64, 128 or 256 GB.
For photography, both should bring a dual camera with a sensor of 20 MP and another 12 MP accompanied with OIS, PDAF, a two-tone LED Flash and an optical 4x zoom. As in the P9, its camera has been developed in conjunction with Leica. The front camera will be 8MP.
Both variants have yet to bring Android 7.0 Nougat with 4.1 EMUI interface, a sensor ass printing, USB C-type and a battery of 4000 mAh.
The difference between the two versions is essentially on the screen, where the Mate 9 will have a 5.9-inch screen with Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080), while the Mate 9 Pro should also bring a screen 5.9-inch, but with qHD resolution ( 1440 x 2560) and a curved screen from both sides. Another difference between the two variants is the Daydream VR support, virtual reality technology introduced in Android 7.0, which is only available in the Pro version.
For the launch prices of these models, it is estimated that the Mate 9 will be sold in 3 different versions with variations in RAM and internal storage. Thus, the choice of 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage will have approached $480, the 4 GB version of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage will cost about $580 while the version of 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage will be available for $700. Prices for the Pro version are not yet known, but a little higher than the normal version prices are expected.
Snap (no pun intended): Mate 9/Pro feature 4x optical zoom. But pricing on a spec'ed out Pro is enough to give you a heart attack: $1300.
