India's First 1Gbps Broadband Service Launched By ACT Fibernet

Bangalore-based company Atria Convergence Technologies (ACT Pvt. Ltd.) has launched India’s first 1Gbps fiber-optic broadband service. ACT Fibernet, will use the fiber optic technology to offer 1Gbps speed which is almost 400 times faster than the current average internet speed of 2.5Mbps.

India is developing at a rapid pace. Reliance Jio had played a vital role in making a new digital era in India. Reliance Jio provided the users 4G LTE data plans to Indian customers for free.

Recently, Bangalore-based company Atria Convergence Technologies (ACT Pvt. Ltd.) has launched India’s first 1Gbps fiber-optic broadband services. Well, telecom operator Jio is also working to roll out their FTTH broadband service which they claimed can give speed up to 1Gbps.

ACT Fibernet, will use the fiber optic technology to offer 1Gbps speed which is almost 400 times faster than the current average Internet speed of 2.5 megabits per second in India.

Hyderabad will be the first city to enjoy this high-speed broadband service. Previously, Google tested their 1GBps Fiber internet in Kochi. However, Google’s service was non-commercial, and ACT Fibernet is the first commercial service of this kind.

ACT Fibernet stated that users need Intel Core i7 CPU @2.5Ghz, 8GB RAM, 64-bit operating system and 1Gbps Ethernet port to enjoy high-speed internet on their computer. Well, ACT Fibernet will allow downloads from the web faster than transferring data from a USB Drive

ACT Fibernet is right now offering their 1Gbps broadband services at the price of Rs 5,999 which is approximate $92. The plan comes with the 1TB data cap. It will be rolled out in Hyderabad soon.
