Here Is The List Of iOS 13 Eligible Devices

A lot of new products and announcements were made in the Apple Special Event related to the Apple Products such as the iPhone 11 line-up, the 7th gen iPad, Apple Watch Series 5 and Apple tv+. A few weeks ago, Apple also confirmed the iOS 13 and iOS 13.1 beta to be released on September 19. However, iOS 13.1 will be released on September 30 and will provide additional software-related updates.

iOS 13 Release Date

The free over-the-air update will roll out from September 19, which is free. Although users can also install iOS 13 public beta on their devices, if eligible while waiting for the stable release. You can signup for the beta program from here.

Are You Eligible For The iOS 13 Update?

Apple promises at least five years of updates for all of their devices, and as promised, iPhone 6s and above will receive the update. The special edition of the iPhone will also receive the iOS 13 update. The later series namely iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max will also receive the update which is quite apparent.

If you are planning to buy iPhone 11 or its upper model, you will get iOS 13 out of the box which is pretty good. The iPod touch 7th generation will also be getting the update.

List of iPads that will receive the update

The iOS 13 version is specifically for iPads. The iPads eligible are 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 11-inch iPad Pro, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPad (7th generation), iPad (6th generation), iPad (5th generation), iPad mini (5th generation), iPad mini 4, iPad Air (3rd generation) and iPad Air 2.

The iOS 13 version is also for the iPads. The versions of iPads that are eligible for the update are

  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro
  • 11-inch iPad Pro
  • 10.5-inch iPad Pro
  • 9.7-inch iPad Pro
  • iPad (7th generation)
  • iPad (6th generation)
  • iPad (5th generation)
  • iPad mini (5th generation)
  • iPad mini 4
  • iPad Air (3rd generation)
  • iPad Air 2.
