According to the recent study performed by researchers at Lincoln and Lancaster Universities in the UK. It turns our iPhone users are more dishonest compared to android users.

iPhone Users Are More Dishonest Than Android, Says Study

You phone says a lot about you. It actually reflects your personality. We have seen various surveys and studies that make us believes that our smartphones say something about ourselves.

According to the new research performed by large brains at the universities of Lincoln and Lancaster in the UK. During the research, the researchers talked to 530 peoples over the period of 2015 and 2016 about their phones and their feelings.

Researchers said, “We found that iPhone owners are more likely to be female, younger, and increasingly concerned about their smartphone being viewed as a status object”.

So, from the above statement, we could assume that rumors are true! Apple is all about the external show. However, there is some more internal stuff. The researchers said:

“Key differences in personality were also observed with iPhone users displaying lower levels of Honesty-Humility and higher levels of emotionality”

On the other hand, Android users are supposedly older, more honest and agreeable. They are less likely to break rules for their own gain and are less keen on wealth and status.

The whole study was actually presented in the month of September 2016 at the British Psychological society Social Psychology Section annual conference. However, it was published last week in the j0urnal Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and social networking.

Researcher David Ellis told Cnet that he and his team did have preconceptions

David Ellis said, “We expected that iPhone users would be younger and more extroverted for example”. “We also predicted that iPhone users would be more likely to view their phone as a status object.”

David Ellis said that he and his team were surprised when iPhone users turned out to see themselves as less honest. He said once the survey begins, they became good at prediction what phone people had.

David Ellis said “We were able to build a statistical model that, after asking people a few questions about themselves, could predict what type of phone they had in their pocket about 70 percent of the time”
