Just a few days ago we have seen Microsoft has officially ended support for Windows Vista. Yesterday was the last day for Windows Vista extended support, which means that the divisive operating system is well and truly dead.

Well, ending support to Windows vista will not surprise you. However, you will be surprised to know that Microsoft is blocking updates on the new operating system like Windows 7 and 8.1.

Microsoft has tried almost everything to move their windows 7 and 8.1 users to windows 10. We have also seen tech giant Microsoft blocking the Windows 7 and 8.1 updates on Ryzen and Kaby lake systems.

Well, users who are running latest processors and using the older version of windows like Windows 7 and 8.1 will not get any updates. Here’s what users of new processors running an older version of windows are seeing:

So, AMD’s Ryzen series of processor and Intel’s Kaby lake or any other upcoming processor would only be supported by Windows 10. Well, the company claims that new CPUs has some capabilities and hardware that are incompatible with the older version of windows.
