Many people don’t know the actual meaning of Ubuntu, it is an African philosophy whose meaning refers to mankind with each other. It is a broad concept on the essence of the human being and the way you behave in society.
As the choice of name is based on the African philosophy of “Ubuntu” and reflects the ideology of the project, highlighting the spirit of mutual support among employees. The Ubuntu Operating system is community development and the product can be shared with anyone.
However, Ubuntu is an operating system built from the Linux kernel ( Linux Kernel ). It is an open source operating system based on Debian and follows the free software standards.
It was launched in 2004 by Canonical company. It is advertised as a simple operating system to use and suitable for personal or professional purposes, both on personal computers and servers.
It is a secure system and contains all the necessary applications, such as web browser, text editing programs, spreadsheet, presentation, among others.
Back in November during the meeting of the Committee for Technical Development of Ubuntu (Ubuntu Tech Board) it was reported that from version 17.04, compilations with written from scratch desktop environment Budgie will become a part of the ecosystem of Ubuntu. This means that Budgie will be distributed via the storage system will maintain the same development cycles and will use the same software for testing.

Hence, recently, Ubuntu developers have teased something really interesting in a recent tweet that will definitely get you excited. Ubuntu developers have teased an “ultra-minimal” version of Ubuntu, named as “Ubuntu Budgie” as we told earlier that only utilizes 220MB or less of RAM. And not only that even 220 MB relates to 64-bit distribution, 32-bit version can pass with less than 200 MB RAM.
However, currently, we don’t have much details about this new ultra-minimal distro, except a screenshot which is not showing any common applications like Google Chrome, GIMP, or LibreOffice like utility tools.
