As reported by Digit, the Teknepolis website says that the latest package 2.17.375 takes much less space when downloading and installing and it brings a major update that will notify your WhatsApp contacts whenever you change your phone number in WhatsApp.
So, with this update, WhatsApp users don’t need to notify each and every WhatsApp contacts manually about the updated phone number. Users will also have the ability to customise the contacts who they want to be notified about the change in their contact number.
As this new feature is available in a beta version of WhatsApp app. So, if you are a beta tester, then you need to update the app by going through Google Play Store.
