YouTube Adds "Breaking News" Feature On Homepage

Recently, users are starting to see the “Breaking News” section on the YouTube homepage on the desktop and mobile version. Well, YouTube hasn’t commented anything regarding the “Breaking News” section, which makes it hard to ensure whether the feature appears occasionally or a permanent one.

YouTube is undoubtedly the most extensive online video platform in the world. The tech giant Google has been significantly growing the YouTube platform for better user experience.

There are billions of users who spend time on Youtube to watch the latest music video, movies and much more. Recently, users are starting to see the “Breaking News” section on the YouTube homepage on the desktop and mobile version.

The feature was first reported by Android Police, the section shows a collection of videos that show breaking news across the globe. The “Breaking News” section shows seven videos which users can watch.

Well, the reports also claim that YouTube is showing suggestions based on users geographical data. Right now, YouTube’s “Breaking News” section is showing videos related to Barcelona terrorist attack.

YouTube hasn’t commented anything regarding the “Breaking News” section, which makes it hard to ensure whether the feature appears occasionally or a permanent one. However, there is an option to hide the section if a user doesn’t wish to see it.

The new feature is available for iOS and Android apps. So make sure you have an updated version of the YouTube app. The feature is also available in a desktop version. But, it is being rolled out in phases.
