Nokia Again Sues Apple For Patent Infringement

Recently, a few days back the Finnish company Nokia announced on Wednesday (21) went to court against the Cupertino company for not paying the royalties due to the Finnish company. The lawsuit is in the United States and Germany, but Nokia has already promised to take other actions soon.

In a statement, Nokia claims that Apple accepted in 2011 a license covering some patents of Finns, but did not want to negotiate the payment of other intellectual properties that are used in Apple products. There are 32 patents at stake, covering technologies such as “display, user interface, software, antenna, chipsets and video encoding.”

But, hold on, what if I say that the Finnish company Nokia has again sued the tech giant Apple for ten more patents. Yes, sounds crazy but, it already happened.

According to the Finnish company Nokia, “the tech giant Apple has been using the controversial RF part embedded in iPhone 6s, which is radically made by Qualcomm. Now the company has to say that all the iPhones that use this RF part are simply infringed its patents”.

“Additionally, Apple provides instruction manuals that instruct users of the ‘247 Accused Products to use the ‘247 Accused Products in a manner that infringes the ‘247 patent, such as by making cellular telephone calls”.

However, if we observe the number of smartphones that are comprising this list, then the count will simply blow your mind. Yes, as the count simply goes up to 247 iPhones including the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone SE, iPads and much more.

The story does not end here, yes, the Finnish company Nokia sued the tech giant Apple not only for the patents infringement but also for the few key and iconic features of iPhone. Simply guess what those could be?

Those will simply amaze or surprise you, as the Finnish company Nokia also claims to have picked some of the features of Siri regarding which Nokia stated that some aspects of Siri services infringe their patent of interaction with Music and Mail like web-based services.

Guess, another one; it is camera now, yes, the Finnish company Nokia surprised the tech giant Apple on this Christmas and the Finnish company Nokia stated that the rear camera cut-out on the Apple iPhone is patented by them (Nokia).

However, earlier we saw that how the tech giant Apple removed all the Nokia products from all its stores. Hence, now the Finnish company Nokia also may ask the tech giant Apple, to simply take off all the infringing Apple products from the market, which is highly absurd. So, it may be possible that the Finnish company Nokia may make a settlement for a good Apple share.
