The South Korean tech giant Samsung announced two new models to its line of SSDs. The 960 Pro and 960 Evo use V-NAND memories and bring to highlight the writing and reading speed. Solid state drives are especially suitable for those who want to improve the performance of a machine to transfer large files such as 4K videos, movies and games.

The 960 Pro and 960 Evo have the M.2 format and connect to port PCIe x4, one alternative for thinner laptops, such as ultrabooks. According to the manufacturer, the new SSDs will be available worldwide from October, but there is still expected to reach India.

But the 960 Evo has options with less storage. The SSD has versions in 250GB, 500GB and 1TB capacity. The speed of reading and writing are also more modest: 3.2 GB/s and 1.9 GB/s, respectively. The suggested retail price is about the US $130 for the 250GB model, bringing three-year warranty.

Along with the new SSDs, Samsung also updated the Magician software. The application that allows you to manage the solid state disk configurations, as it does the firmware update in simplified form.
