Last year, Amazon upgraded their headphone lineup with the Echo Buds 2nd Gen, which included an improved design and ANC support.
The Echo Buds 2nd Gen comes with custom-designed Active Noise Cancellation technology that cancels twice as much noise as the previous generation. It works with both Android and iOS phones and provides access to Google Assistant and Siri via customizable touch controls.
With the Echo Buds, customers can use Alexa throughout their day, whether at home, walking in the neighborhood, or commuting to work.
Amazon’s 2nd Gen Echo Buds Specifications
During the launch of the new earbuds, Parag Gupta, a Manager of Amazon Devices India, stated, “We are glad to add an on-the-go device to the Echo range and are eager to learn from our customer’s experience as they take Alexa with them.”
The Amazon Echo Buds 2nd Gen are wireless earbuds that have the same design as the first generation. It features premium 5.7mm drivers on both sides. The new Echo Buds 2nd Gen are 20% smaller and 20% cozier.
Each earcup has a high-performance driver that produces balanced sound with minimum distortion. It also has a wide dynamic range. The earphones provide Bluetooth 5.0 connection and compatibility for hands-free Alexa on Android and iOS devices.
It comes with an IPX4 rating. The buds are only 3.7 grams each, but with the TWS case, they weigh around 44.4 grams.
With ANC turned on, the buds can play music for up to five hours on a single charge. With the charging case, it can deliver an additional 10 hours of energy, which in total is around 15 hours of battery life. The case is powered by a USB Type-C connection. It also supports Qi wireless charging.
With the Echo Buds companion app, Amazon now lets you pick between Google Assistant and Siri as your voice assistant. Because the buds are part of the Echo ecosystem, you can effortlessly transfer music from other Echo devices to them and listen to it on your Echo buds.
Pricing
As for pricing, it will be available in two variants. The new Echo Buds are priced at Rs. 11,999 for wired charging through USB-C and Rs. 13,999 for wireless charging via a charging case.
