For those unaware, Apple usually launches its new set of iPhones every year, which includes four variants – standard, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max. However, if rumors are to be believed, this year is going to be different.

Tipster Majin Bu (@MajinBuOfficial) has suggested on X (previously Twitter) that Apple will be launching five distinct models under the forthcoming iPhone 16 series in 2024, including two new iPhone 16 SE models, increasing its range to cater to different market segments and boost its sales numbers.

The five distinct models will comprise the iPhone 16 SE, iPhone 16 Plus SE, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, which suggests the iPhone SE product line integration into the broader iPhone 16 line-up.

The tipster also shared some insights on the upcoming 2024 iPhones. For example, the iPhone 16 SE and 16 Plus SE product line-up, which could be positioned in the lower end of the market, are rumored to include a single pill-shaped rear camera layout with an offset flash, a Dynamic Island, a 60Hz display, and a smaller battery.

On the other hand, the entry-level or standard iPhone 16 models will sport a 120Hz screen display, a dual rear camera setup, and improved battery life. Lastly, the premium iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will feature 120Hz refresh rate and triple rear camera setups, showcasing vertical camera arrangements with pill-shaped camera bumps.

Besides this, the tipster has also shared the potential pricing of the iPhone 16 series as a comment on X. The iPhone 16 SE is tipped to cost $699 for the 128GB variant, while the iPhone 6 SE Plus could be priced at $799 for the 256GB variant. Further, the vanilla iPhone 16 with 256GB storage could come with a price tag of $699, while the 256GB versions of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are rumored to be priced at $999 and $1,099, respectively.

It is important to note that all the above information is not official and should be taken with a pinch of salt. With Apple likely to announce its 2024 iPhones in September this year, we can expect more concrete information to come our way. Stay tuned!
