Good news, everyone! Chrome 55 (55.0.2883.84) for Android has been released and it brings some extraordinary features that will enhance Google Chrome experience in Android.
Google Chrome For Android Brings Extraordinary New Features
This year on early September, Google introduced “Data Saver” mode just to ensure web pages load faster on slower 2G connection. Dava Saver option compresses images and text while saving 60% of precious data. Google beta version already had a “Download” feature for offline viewing. However, the offline download feature has now started rolling out.
The latest version of Google Chrome for Android (v55.0.2883.84) brings lots of improvements along with the “download” feature. Further, improvements include better search UI and RAM optimizations. Therefore, if you are having a device with less than 1GB RAM, Chrome for Android will now consume 35% less memory.
The new download feature added to Chrome for Android app allows users do download music, videos and full web pages for offline viewing that means you can save the entire web page to access it later without internet connection.
You can now view Webpages & Videos without the Internet in Chrome for Android. Users will get to see the save icon feature next to the audio or video player to initiate the background download. The update also brings another feature that will help you to highlight the misspelled words in the text fields within the browser.
Google also said on their official blog that the update also brings improvements to the contextual search UI within the browser as well. So, users need to keep an eye on Google Play Store because Google said that the update has been released and will be rolled out over next few days.
