This iOS 11 Bug Prevents iPhone Users From Typing The Word ‘i’

The tech giant Apple has taken a lot of its time simply to implement new features on iOS 11 and even goes as far as to say that, in some functionalities, it exaggerated.

Occasionally some bizarre iOS flaws appear, but iOS 11 is surpassing all expectations: in addition to the error in the calculator application (which has not yet been corrected), some users are being prevented from typing the letter “I” on the native keyboard.

The problem is related to a bug in the iOS 11.1 auto-corrector on iPhones, iPads and iPod touch. When a user types “I”, the text is automatically replaced with “A [?]”. However, when the text “A [?]” Is pasted into some application, iOS swaps content to “I” as shown by a Reddit user.

The tech giant Apple itself has posted a support article explaining how to “fix” the crash while an iOS software update is not released: Go to Settings, go to General, tap Keyboard, and then click Text Override. Add “I” in Phrase and “i” in Shortcut.

According to MacRumors, the crash also seems to affect users on iOS 11.0.3 and even on macOS, since predictions of text are synchronized in iCloud. Restarting the device or restoring keyboard dictionary settings does not solve the problem. It’s hard.
