Finally, Mark Zuckerberg created his personal AI “Jarvis” using various AI techniques and programming languages. But, how he made it, what it can do, and more. Let’s explore in details.

Everything You Need To Know About Mark Zuckerberg’s Jarvis AI

Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg is now the proud owner of Jarvis. Let me tell you it’s not exactly same as the AI system Tony Stark used to control his home and Iron Man suit, but it is Zuckerberg’s version of it.

Earlier this year, in January 2016, Mark Zuckerberg shocked Facebook when he announced that he was building an artificial intelligence (AI) system to control his home which would be just Like Jarvis from Iron Man Series. You can say it was one of the new year resolutions for Mark Zuckerberg.

Earlier, the Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post “My personal challenge for 2016 is to build a simple AI to run my home and help me with my work. You can think of it kind of like Jarvis in Iron Man.”

Who is the voice of Jarvis?

And not only that at the time when Mark Zuckerberg was looking for someone to voice that Artificial assistant, Guess what happened next? Robert Downey Jr answered the post in a stunning way.

It's time to give my AI Jarvis a voice. Who should I ask to do it?

Robert Downey Jr Himself commented in the post and said: “I’ll do in a heartbeat if Bettany gets paid and donates it to a cause of Cumberbatch’s choosing…that’s the right kind of STRANGE!”

However, recently Mark Zuckerberg unveiled his AI Jarvis which can talk to his phone and computer and it can control his home’s lights, temperature, music, appliances and security systems too. Over the time, Jarvis can learn new words and concepts too. Now Jarvis also entertains his daughter Max.

What can Jarvis do?

Apart from all this, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s own AI Jarvis can teach you languages, tell you what others are doing in the home, tell you the schedule for the day, prepare toasts for you, also it can set up video conferences and not only that even it can play movies as well.

After seeing Jarvis from my perspective and Priscilla's, we thought it would be funny to do one from the AI's perspective too. Morgan Freeman is absolutely brilliant.

Moreover, Mark Zuckerberg’s own AI Jarvis can also make remind you to go to the gym, it can also make recommendations like offering to make a toast simply when you are looking to whip up some breakfast, and the most interesting thing is it can even crack jokes simply to entertain you.

How Mark Zuckerberg made it?

Well, he also shared the details on his project. Mark Zuckerberg utilized few artificial intelligence methods like face & speech recognition, language processing, and reinforcement learning.

Priscilla's experience with Jarvis has been a little different…This one is based on mishaps she endured while I built Jarvis.

Mark Zuckerberg used Python, PHP, and Object-c programming language to develop Jarvis, Mark Zuckerberg even had to reverse engineer APIs for his home appliances like, lights, temperatures, etc. to issue a command that they can understand.

Moreover, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a post that “For assistants like Jarvis to be able to control everything in homes for more people, we need more devices to be connected and the industry needs to develop common APIs and standards for the devices to talk to each other.”
