Netflix Ad-Supported Plan's New Details Suggests No Downloads

As we all know, Netflix is working on a new plan that will be cheaper and ad-supported so that everyone can afford the subscription even with ads, and now some further details have arrived.

All these details have arrived from a well-known developer Steve Moser, who found some related codes in the Netflix app.

Netflix Might Allow You to Setup Your Ad-Experience

Netflix Might Allows You to Setup Your Ad-ExperienceFirst, Moser found some text in the app that suggests that this plan users will not be allowed to experience content while offline, which means they can’t download any movies or series for offline viewing.

And the actual text was “Downloads available on all plans except Netflix with ads,” and this does not seem like something unexpected move from the company because other service’s ad-supported tier is doing the same.

For now, we can say its pricing will be around $6 to $7 USD only, which seems ok with this pricing point, or we might see some more reductions in its pricing.

Besides, Moser also detailed some other texts that he found related to user’s ad experience and read, “Now, let’s set up your ad experience” so you can set your interest-based ads.

Also, there was one more text related to its setup process “We just need a few details to make sure you get the most relevant ads on Netflix. It’ll be really quick, we promise!”.

It seems great that allowance to relevant and personalized ads might help users better, and in impact, it will feel less irritating to control your ad viewing experience.

Separately, the company has already announced its partner, is tech giant Microsoft, which will manage all things regarding ads, including this personalized experience and setup.

We can assume all these details because the company hasn’t officially revealed any details about it except its existence.
