WhatsApp To Stop Working On These Smartphones: Here’s The Full List

WhatsApp is one of the most used instant messaging services around the world, competing primarily against its rival Telegram, hence it proceeds much success. As described in its blog, when WhatsApp began their wanderings in 2009, the mobile ecosystem was very different: at that time about 70 percent of smartphones were sold at the time had operating systems offered by BlackBerry and Nokia.

Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp had announced that soon it will end support for the various Operating Systems from 2017, including the Nokia’s popular Symbian OS and BlackBerry, including BlackBerry 10, as the reasons are more predictable: today 99% of people do not use these operating systems. Hence, to maintain support and updates for them are just waste of money by WhatsApp, hence, WhatsApp to stop working on them.
