Apple Unveiled The Capabilities Of The iPhone 8 & iPhone 8 Plus Batteries

With the official presentation of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, during the tech giant Apple’s keynote last Tuesday, the tech giant Apple left us only estimates about the autonomy that their batteries present, without clearly specifying the amount of milliamperes that each one of them has. Now, the capabilities have been filtered, revealing a decrease compared to its previous model.

The batteries of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, smaller than the iPhone 7

Generally, the signature of the tech giant Apple with the bite is extremely reserved when it comes to revealing some details of its flagship phones. That’s why, during Tuesday’s keynote, we could only get an estimate of the capacity of the new iPhone’s batteries.

So, for example, we could know that the iPhone 8 has a similar autonomy to the iPhone 7 and its superior model, the iPhone 8 Plus, presents an equivalent to that of its predecessor, the iPhone 7 Plus.

But now, they have finally known the milliamperes that each one of them has, throwing a truly curious fact: the batteries of the new iPhone 8 are smaller than those of its predecessors, although they offer a greater autonomy.

As detailed in the Phonearena portal, the information has arisen from a leak to documents related to these smartphones from the Chinese certification body TENAA, in which the values of each of the batteries can be accurately appreciated.

The iPhone 8 has a 1821mAh battery compared to 1960mAh on the iPhone 7. Meanwhile, the iPhone 8 Plus has a battery of 2675mAh compared to the 2900mAh battery of the iPhone 7 Plus.

According to several specialized sources, this is only possible due to the superior performance offered by the new processor with these new models, the A11 Bionic chip of the tech giant Apple, the fastest and most powerful in the mobile phone market and is already demonstrating all its power in the first performance tests to which it is being subjected.

Finally, another revealing detail that has emerged from this leak is the amount of RAM in both models, corresponding to 2GB for the iPhone 8 and 3GB for the iPhone 8 Plus, further enhancing the ability to manage the resources of the processor A11.
