Since we know that BitTorrent is a transmission protocol of peer-to-peer file sharing which is actually used just to distribute data over the Internet. Hence, BitTorrent is one of the most common protocols for transferring the big files, and peer-to-peer networks have been measured to collectively account for around 43% to 70% of all Internet traffic (depending on the location).

On Wednesday, BitTorrent officially announced on its blog that it is all set to launch a news network on July 18, as we all know that they already have a music streaming service known as BitTorrent Now and the company is a long time peer-to-peer file sharing sourdough with its own TV production studio.

However, we all know that BitTorrent as one of the most popular torrent apps on the Internet. But, it sounds pretty strange that they are starting their new BitTorrent News TV channel at the Republican National Organization in Cleveland, Ohio. It means that now we all have to see more about the American businessman, television personality, author, and politician Donald Trump on TV as well then the Internet.

The vice president of the media for BitTorrent, Erik Schwartz said on the official blog of the BitTorrent that “Television news has been stagnating for some time. It’s having trouble appealing to a generation that grew up online. We’re building BitTorrent News to solve that problem. We are using superior data and tools and the Silicon Valley ethos of lean startup to build a nimble news organization that will learn quickly from user behavior”. The vice president of the media for BitTorrent, Erik Schwartz also adds that “BitTorrent TV news will be using superior data and tools to adjust to their audience’s needs”.

Hence, the company also adds that “the network has a distinct advantage when scaling rapidly to large audiences in real-time without the need for expensive pre-provisioning, a nearly impossible feat during a rapidly developing news situation”.

Furthermore, the company proposed as a live-streaming channel for the Apple TV and OS X which can be viewed easily via the “BitTorrent Live app” which is available for both the platforms and for the other platforms they stated that they will provide the app very soon.
