We all are aware of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 issue; Note 7 was the hottest Android device that world had ever seen until it went up in Flames. Well, numerous rumors are spreading like a fire on the internet that clearly show that Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to be well worth the wait.
Samsung is about to introduce new features on its upcoming Galaxy 8. We also know that Galaxy S8 will be available in two variants which will hold different processors. Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is expected to make a debut with Galaxy S8, and Samsung will also use a home-grown Exynos chip in the another variant of Galaxy S8.
Snapdragon 835 was made official few weeks ago, and it is yet to reveal its specifications at CES 2017 this week. However, according to PhoneArena, some slides giving away information about the chipset were leaked on Weibo.
Samsung 835 SoC will be built on 10nm architecture, which gives the chipset a 27% bump in speed over Snapdragon 820. As reported by BGR, “The chip will have eight cores, including a performance quad-core cluster that will get users a “20% performance uplift in a range of use cases such as app load time, web browsing and VR,” and a quad-core cluster that will operate 80% of the time and save power.”
Further information shows that the SoC will use Kryo 280 CP along with a new GPU. The Adreno 540 supports 60 times more color than recent Snapdragon chipset and also offers 25% faster rendering.
If we talk about the video it will have support for 4K, 10-Bit, 60 fps video playback with Open GL ES, Vulkan, and DirectX 12 graphics. Moreover, it will come with Quick charge four technology, which will charge batteries 20% faster than Quick Charge 3. Quick charge four technology will let users get 5 hours of battery life with just 5 minutes of charge.
The Snapdragon 835 chipset will make debut with LG G6 or on certain versions of Galaxy S8. The chip could be unveiled in February and released in March.
