It blocks a wide range of common web trackers without any settings to set and the user can erase browsing history including password, cookies, etc easily which definitely helps in maintaining user’s privacy and security.

According to Mozilla, the technology used to track users on the web makes mobile web pages slow. Firefox Focus blocks all such trackers, ads and hence web page performance is also boosted. As the name suggests, Firefox Focus is designed for a tab-less browsing experience. That means a user will have a single site/tab open in the browser at any time.

Firefox Focus prioritize your privacy by blocking ads, removing the option to have multiple tabs open, and deleting all your browser history when you’re done. However, the browser when initially released did not include several important features. The company has now upgraded Firefox Focus to version 1.1 adding such features.

The update also lets users watch full-screen videos on most of the websites. However, YouTube being the notable exception is dependent on a bug fix from Google which might be addressed in the next update.

In the Update, v1.1 Notifications now have an added shortcut to open Firefox Focus which comes quite handy at times. You will get all types of notifications within the browser itself, and the shortcuts on the browser will help you launch any website quickly as possible.
