Scientists have discovered new polymer coating that makes contact lenses to computer screens. Some Scientists at the University of South Australia’s Future Industries have made a polymer film coating which can conduct electricity.

This technology came into light when the research was done for 2 years and almost decade of deep research, says Physics Associate Professor, Drew Evans. He termed this technology as a “Game Changing Technology”.

‘Game changing’ Technology turns Contact Lenses into Tiny Computer Screens

This Eye Lens has the capability to conduct electric and therefore, it can also support a screen on the lens, hence it has been named as Optic-Mistic. The scientist who carried this invention claim that this eye lens technology could be used in many applications in the wearable devices. Also, user would have the entire information they need displayed right within the eye.

Physics Associate Professor, Drew Evans said :

“We’re talking about anything from a simple sensor that can measure the amount of glucose in your blood through to actually creating electronic displays. so, rather than having something like a pair of glasses that’s acting like a computer, you can actually generate images directly on your contact lens.”

Google’s Alphabet’s lens supported by Verily which was previously known as Google Life Science, seemingly won’t provide any wider function-ability beyond tracking glucose levels.

However, the FII’s breakthrough could cover the way for putting Google Glass Technology right into our eyes. In General, a contact lens would be totally visible to everyone else, while displaying the user a lot of information.

So, this is very interesting technological invention. This technology may soon come with wearable devices. We hope that you loved this article, feel free to share this with your friends.
