We all know very well that the tech giant Google has a habit of trying to meet the application needs of its Android ecosystem. Hence, the tech giant Google just launched three new extraordinary AI-enabled applications not only for Android, also for the tech giant Apple’s iOS as well.

Google Just Launched Three New Apps For Android & iOS

The tech giant Google does not want to limit photography to the capacity of mobile cameras. As an introduction to its “appsperimental” program, it has just launched three AI-enabled photographic applications: Storyboard (only for Android), Selfissimo (for iOS and Android) and Scrubbies (only for iOS).

Unlike other better known as Google Photos, Gmail or Maps, these three new applications arise from the company’s software research branch with which to experiment and test new functions for smartphones. Below, we detail some of the associated functions.

The tech giant Google has an application ecosystem more than extensive. On the one hand, we can find the most popular apps, for both iOS and Android. However, the tech giant Google also has a good number of not so well-known apps, among which are the experimental applications, software with which the tech giant Google tests the implementation of new technologies to develop final versions.

The tech giant Google has presented three applications for Android and iOS that show what can be done with artificial intelligence systems capable of detecting elements in videos and images.

Experimental camera apps

At that point, we found three new Google applications. Specifically, it is about three camera apps that have been released for iOS and Android as we told earlier. All these three apps are experimental software that seeks the integration and implementation of new functions in the camera of smartphones. We could say that it is an identical case to the one most recently known, the experimental Motion Stills app. It offered a video stabilization system in tests along with the ability to create GIFs.

It is the first installment of a series of photography experiments based on experimental technology. They are based on the recognition of objects, segmentation of people, stylization algorithms, efficient coding and decoding of images and the desire to have fun.

Storyboard

Storyboard is only available for Android, and transforms our videos into single-page comic designs. We just have to record the video and upload it to the app, since it will automatically select the best moments for the comic, applying one of the six visual styles. Once created, we can save it, update it or create a new one.

Selfissimo

Selfissimo is available for both iOS and Android. This app is an automatic photographer that takes an elegant black and white photo every time we pose. We just have to touch the screen to start a photo session. The application encourages us to pose and captures a photo every time we stop moving. To end the session, we will have to touch the screen again.

Scrubbies

Scrubbies is only available for iOS, it allows you to easily manipulate the speed and direction of video playback to produce loops that highlight actions, capture funny faces and reproduce moments. We can record the video and mix it as if we were a DJ. Rubbing with one finger plays the video, rubbing with two fingers captures the playback so we can save or share it.
