Google’s Android Malware Killing Machine Is Out Now

The tech giant Google has been trying to bring Android the highest level of security and the greatest protection it can give users. It is not a simple task, but for that the tech giant presented in I/O, the Play Protect.

This new app evaluation service has been tested and is now finally available to all users of this operating system. Android security has taken a giant leap forward.

Google Play Protect was introduced in May in this year’s I/O and is intended as a form of security for Android users. This new service will make a frequent review of the applications that are installed on each Android device and warn the users if problems are detected.

Whenever an app is suspected of having malware or other security flaws, the user will be alerted to this situation so that he/she can take precautions. This evaluation will be done automatically and completely in silence, without disturbing the users.

After some time in testing, for a limited set of users, Google Play Protect is now available globally and prepared to protect all Android users. It only requires that version 11 of Google Play Services is installed on the Android device which you want to use.

Using Google Play Protect

Anyone who wants to rate Play Protect and see how it has worked, you just have to access the dedicated area in Android settings. There you can see the list of applications that have been evaluated in the last days and, if problems arise, those that are marked as such.

This area is accessible in Settings–> Google–> Security. There you can find access to Google Play Protect and, in addition to the rest of the information, you can enable or disable Google Play Protect.
