Recently, the security researcher from McAffe looked into one of the apps- WannaCry Ransomware Protection Antivirus. The security firm claimed that the app does nothing it offers false features and tricks users into downloading the different app which has full of ads. The feature app promises actually came from repacked malware scanner.
However, McAfee said that they didn’t find any malware in the apps. The firm recommended users to keep in mind that, in the case of WannaCry, the infection can’t spread to Android devices.
