Hacker Gets 5 Years In Prison For Stealing Celebrities’ Emails, Sex Tapes, Scripts
A hacker who was arrested last year for hacking into celebrities’ email accounts known as Alonzo Knowles, a 24-year-old Bahamian-born man, was finally sentenced by a federal judge to spend five years in prison.
The hacker becomes well-known on the internet simply after hacking the emails of the Hollywood celebrities to steal the unreleased movie and television scripts, their private messages, and sex tapes to sell them.
The sentence was doubled to Alonzo Knowles because, according to the Judge Paul A. Engelmayer, the hacker “would be a constant danger and could commit the same crime again.” On the other hand, Knowles commented in court that “what he did was wrong,” adding that the action itself “could have ruined many people’s lives.”
Hence, the 24-year-old Bahamian-born hacker, Alonzo Knowles expressed guilt in court and had already handed over unreleased scripts, songs, as well as $1,900 in cash.
According to the US media NYTimes, the 24-year-old Bahamian-born hacker, Alonzo Knowles intends to write a book that will “shake up Hollywood to reveal names” – in this case, the hacker Alonzo Knowles has also set up a price for the book, which will cost $35 and clearly showed that his goal was to make money.
The virtual invasion was carried out through malware spread by email and automated texts via SMS. Police seized the hacker in the year 2015, when he tried to sell the script of six still-unreleased episodes of Starz TV’s “Power” series for $80,000.
But, the prosecutors stated that the 24-year-old Bahamian-born hacker, Alonzo Knowles appeared eager to continue exploiting the Hollywood celebrities once released even after pleading guilty. However, the 24-year-old Bahamian-born hacker, Alonzo Knowles’s lawyer even tried to make a call for a 14-month sentence before the federal judge’s decision.
It was not revealed the celebrities who had the emails invaded, but 20th Century Fox made a statement to the court and also the actress Naturi Naughton, who was the part of the American drama series “Power”. However, the 24-year-old Bahamian-born hacker, Alonzo Knowles apologized for his behavior by saying he regretted “the stupid things I did and said”.
