Hacker Reveals He Leaked GoT Season 7 Episode 4 To Please His Girlfriend
A few days ago, we have seen hackers have succeeded to hack into the HBO Networks and leaked the unpublished episodes of TV Shows. Well, if you remember, the fourth episode of Game of Thrones which was about to broadcast on August 6 in the US and August 7 in India was leaked on August 4.
The leaked episodes show a watermark of “Start India” on the bottom-right corner. After this incidence, Star India had cited an ongoing investigation by local authorities regarding the leak.
Four techies connected to Prime-Focus Technologies have been held. One of the IT Professionals named Alok Sharma who was arrested in the same case had sent the fourth episode of Game of Thrones to his girlfriend in order to please her. This is where episode 4 was leaked and later uploaded online.
According to reports from Indian Express, an official had said “Initially, there were suspicions that one of the accused had accessed the episode as his girlfriend wanted to see it. The girlfriend had then passed it onto others, one of whom uploaded it online”
“The investigation is still in progress. However, so far, it appears that they had leaked it for self-consumption. We are now trying to find out who uploaded it online,”
The reports also claimed that it was Alok who had first accessed the episode and then shared it with the other four who are also arrested. Police are busy to find out who uploaded it online.
