iPhone 16 Pro leakes

While Apple is expected to come out with its purported iPhone 16 series of smartphones in September 2024, rumors and leaks surrounding the new devices are pouring in thick and fast.

iPhone 16 Pro May Have A Radical Camera Design, Suggests Leak

The latest leak comes from an Apple tipster named Majin Bu, who shared an image on X (formerly Twitter) suggesting that the next iPhone 16 Pro will have a radical camera design, which means it will feature a vertically positioned camera layout instead of a horizontal one like recent iPhones.

Majin Bu tweeted, citing sources, “This is just the safe area for producers. It’s representative of where they can’t cover.” This means it may not represent an actual change to the camera module. Personally, I think it makes a lot of sense, however, I can’t know what things really are as I haven’t seen some schematics yet, however, I will investigate it.”

Another X account named Apple Hub tweeted, “Apple is reportedly testing this radical new camera design for the iPhone 16 Pro”.

While Apple has not officially confirmed the changes to the camera design, netizens have already started rejecting the rumored camera changes. Several users on the X platform disapproved of the new camera design, calling it “absolutely hideous”, “odd”, and “Eww,” with some users even comparing it to a “fidget spinner.”

Besides the leaked camera module, the tipster also shared that the new colors of the iPhone 16 Pro could be Desert Yellow (Desert Titanium) and Cement Gray (Titanium Gray), which is a significant departure from Apple’s traditional color palette, such as Black, White and Gold.

In an earlier leak, Majin Bu had also suggested that Apple plans to launch five distinct iPhone 16 models in 2024, comprising the iPhone 16 SE, iPhone 16 Plus SE, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Further, the iPhone 16 SE and 16 Plus SE product line-up are rumored to include a single pill-shaped rear camera layout with an offset flash, a Dynamic Island, a 60Hz display, and a smaller battery.

On the other hand, the entry-level or standard iPhone 16 models will feature a 120Hz screen display, a dual rear camera setup, and improved battery life. In addition, the premium iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will feature 120Hz refresh rate and triple rear camera setups, showcasing vertical camera arrangements with pill-shaped camera bumps.

It is important to note that all the above information is not official and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned for more updates!
