A few weeks ago, we already reported on “Outings”, the travel app that was developed by the tech giant Microsoft Garage in the quiet little room. Now “Outings” is officially available in the tech giant Google’s app store, of course, Play Store and the tech giant Apple’s app store, of course, iTunes Store.
Use Outings, even if you want to take away the whim to discover some new location, it’s really simple: at the opening you will in fact simply choose the features that are closest to what you want, and the app will elaborate a series of suggestions that will be possible browse in handy tabs with pictures and descriptions.

Outing allows you to search high-quality travel reports on beautiful places of travel blogs and other places. The nearby feed provides stories about places in your area. Was there already? Check it from the list and keep track of all the places you’ve been to. Switch to a visual search map view and see what’s around the corner. Or search for other topics and travel destinations for travel ideas and inspiration.

Instantly save your next trip to a folder for safekeeping. Create travel bucket lists for the weekend or the distant future. Share it with friends and family on social media so they can inspire you and you can travel on the calendar.
Since this is a Microsoft Garage project, there is no compulsion for a Windows version (well, actually, there is now a guarantee even for non-garage projects that they will appear for Windows). Although garage projects come from Microsoft employees, they were created in their spare time. Hence, the tech giant Microsoft only provides the rooms and tools for development.
The Outings app can be viewed as a successor to the Microsoft Travel application which is discontinued in 2015. There is a newborn in the forge of Microsoft Garage: it is Outings, an application to discover the ideal destination of your next trip around the world.
In fact, Outings aims to make its users discover the most interesting places in the world, based on the choice of 5 (or more) favourite basic features: landscapes, nightlife, history and culture, forests and so on.
