Netflix Online Store Launched, will Sell Merchandise of Popular Shows

On Thursday, Netflix Inc (NFLX.O) has announced that it will open an online store where it will sell lifestyle goods, limited-edition apparel, and collectables based on popular shows like “Stranger Things”. The Netflix.shop is now launched in the United States (US) and will soon be available in other countries.

The company has posted a blog post, where it says they love when the great stories go beyond the screen and to people’s lives. The post reads,

“We love it when great stories transcend screens and become part of people’s lives. We’re always looking at how we can extend the world of our stories for fans, from apparel and toys to immersive events and games. And it’s why today we’re launching Netflix.shop as an exciting new destination combining curated products and rich storytelling in a uniquely Netflix shopping experience.”

The online store will have selected high-quality clothes and leisure products. This new store will provide Netflix a new revenue stream and will expand its product line beyond what it’s actually selling with partners like Walmart Inc (WMT.N) and Target Inc (TGT.N).

The online store will feature “carefully selected high-quality clothes and leisure products,” according to the business.

Moreover, the company says, they are excited to collaborate with new voices, just like they are in the films and series. The online store Netflix.shop will also have a great collection of anime-inspired collectibles from a remarkable group of up-and-coming designers: Nathalie Nguyen, Kristopher Kites, and Jordan Bentley.

This month, the online store will have clothes and decorative goods inspired by the French crime thriller “Lupin”, streetwear based on the anime shows like “Eden”.
