According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s new 15-inch Notebook wouldn’t be part of a MacBook Air as it will get a new name, and it will use the same 30W power adapter as MacBook Air, even new one has a larger display.
Recently, Ming-Chi Kuo stated Apple might be working on the new 15-inch MacBook. Then after, Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) revealed that Apple has been working on a new MacBook Air with a 15-inch display to be introduced sometime next year.
Now, Kuo has given predictions regarding this Apple’s new 15-inch Notebook that Apple will start mass production in the fourth quarter of 2023, indicating a release later in the year “if all goes to plan.”
Apple’s Upcoming 15-inch Notebook May Launch In 2023
We can trust Ming-Chi Kuo’s leaks because, in the past, some of his leaked details came true. As Kuo said, the New 15-inch Notebook will not be named as MacBook Air, so there is a chance that Apple might continue this new 15-inch MacBook with a new series name.
Ming-Chi Kuo also mentioned “if all goes to plan.” which hinted Apple might be planning something new about MacBooks.
Predictions for Apple's potential 15" notebook in 2023:
1. Mass production in 4Q23 if all goes to plan.
2. Although a larger display generally consumes more power, the design goal is to use the same 30W power adapter as MacBook Air.
3. It might not be called MacBook Air. https://t.co/R3UfxNWZW1— 郭明錤 (Ming-Chi Kuo) (@mingchikuo) March 24, 2022
If Apple offers a 30W power adapter with a new notebook, that might be surprising; you’ll get a more prominent display with less power consumption. According to Kuo, if everything goes to plan, Apple might launch this new 15-inch Notebook later in 2023.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple has been working on two different versions of the MacBook Air for 2023, and the 2022’s model might have the single-size option, come with the M2 chip, and a brand new design.
