Google Is Making Its Own Ad-Blocker For Chrome
Well, we must admit that ad-blocker extensions have saved us from those terrible ads trying to eat all our computer screen. Sometimes, those ads even force us to download and install malware.
Not only computers, those ads are found on Android and other mobile operating systems too. Well, according to the recent reports from Wall Street Journal, some sources claimed that Google is right now preparing to build an ad-blocker.
Well, Google right now handles one of the largest advertising platforms in the world. However, Google preparing an inbuilt ad-blocker for Google Chrome which is really something surprising.
However, there is a catch, the ad blocker prepared by Google will only block the ads which are defined unacceptable by the industry group Coalition for Better Ads. Google chrome will block ads like pop-ups, auto-playing video ads with sound and other ads which force users to click on them.
The same reports from Wall Street Journal also say that Google chrome will block all ads on the website which shows offensive ads, making it the responsibility of the website owners to stick to the criteria.
According to the reports from StatCounter, Chrome ranks second in the browser market. So, if Google implements ad-filters in Chrome browser, then bigger control of the ad-blocking market may go into its hands.
