WhatsApp is a messaging application that lets you stay connected with your friends and family. It shows users when a recipient has read their message by showing the “Double Blue Tick.”
The feature is great for the sender but doesn’t go well with the receivers. As we all know,, when someone sends you a message on WhatsApp, the sender also receives a return notification or delivery report.
Many users don’t want to share that they saw or read the message they received on WhatsApp. So, if you also want to read WhatsApp messages without the sender knowing, here’s what you need to do.
1. Read the Message from the Notification drawer
If you have been using WhatsApp for a while, you might already have utilized this method. If you have WhatsApp notifications enabled, you can read messages from the notification drawer without opening the app.
This way, the sender won’t know you have read the message. However, the notification panel only shows a few characters of WhatsApp’s message. If the text is too long, this method might not help.
2. Using Flight Mode
To remain hidden, the next time you receive a message, put your smartphone into Flight Mode or Airplane Mode before opening or reading the message on WhatsApp.
3. Disable the Read Receipts
Well, WhatsApp allows you to disable/enable the read receipts. Disabling read receipts seems the most authentic and easy way to hide your read status. However, the disadvantage of disabling read receipts is that you will not know if someone has read your messages.
To disable Read Receipts, open WhatsApp and go to Settings > Account > Privacy. Under the acy, uncheck the read receipts option.
4. Use Third-party apps
Third-party apps like Beeper allow you to view disappearing messages more than one time.
However, the older version of the app has the feature to read WhatsApp messages without giving away the read receipt.
Other than Beeper, you can use WhatsApp Mods to view WhatsApp messages without them knowing. But, the use of WhatsApp Mods can lead to an account ban.
