Sandisk’s New Pen Drive Can Transfer 4GB File In 15 Seconds
SanDisk, the western digital owned flash storage company had just announced “the next level in flash technology” by launching their newest product in the Indian market. Sandisk launched Extreme Pro USB 3.1 drive which is the world’s fastest pen drive.
Guess what? The transfer speed of Sandisk’s Extreme Pro USB 3.1 provides transfer speed up to 35 times compared to normal USB Flash drives (USB 2.0). This pen drive sports data read speeds of up to 420Mbps and write speeds of 380Mbps.
Well, that rate is close to internal SSD (Solid-state drive) speeds. The company during the launch of the product claimed that users could transfer a full-length of 4K movies to the drive in less that 15 seconds using USB 3.1 computer port.
Sandisk Extreme Pro USB 3.1 will be available in 2 variant. The 256GB variant is priced at $210, 128GB is priced at $127.51. Sandisk Extreme Pro USB 3.1 will be available on Amazon India and select retail outlets from April.
Sven Rathjen, Vice President of marketing for WD’s Client Solutions Business Unit said in a statement “The combination of SSD performance, and a compact USB form factor offers the ultimate performance and convenience for moving files easily and quickly.”
“With its increased capacity and blazing speeds, the SanDisk Extreme PRO USB 3.1 Solid State Flash Drive is our sleekest, most powerful SanDisk USB device yet.”
The pen drive also comes natively with SecureAccess software, which features 128-bit file encryption and password protection for security.
