They do not want to make further statements about it, so it is not known whether this decision has been taken entirely voluntarily or by the pressures exerted by different groups that fight against piracy and therefore, against this type of portals of links.
With this closure of Bitsnoop, the torrent community loses another of the most used search engines worldwide and over the years has been placed within the top 10 of the most visited torrents sites on several occasions. Like many other similar portals, Bitsnoop is blocked by ISPs in several countries including the United Kingdom or Italy and was close to being also blocked in Australia. As for Zooqle, this is a relatively new site that appeared last year and has been growing ever since.
