Vitalik Buterin, a co-founder of Ethereum has donated over $1 billion worth of “meme coins” to the India Covid Relief Fund and also to other charities. Just a few weeks ago, Buterin became the world’s youngest crypto billionaire. He has donated a huge amount of dog-themed meme tokens, that were gifted by other creators like Dogelon (ELON), Akita Inu (Akita), mwDOGE, and others.

However, all the cryptocurrencies have gone down from the past few months, but the popularity of Dogecoin has been fluctuating. Vitalik Buterin has not only donated to the India Covid Relief fund, but also to other charities like 13,292 ETH worth $54 million to Givewell, to Methuselah Foundation, he has sent around $336 million worth of ELON.

As soon as Vitalik donated the funds, Sandeep Nailwal took to Twitter and thanked Buterin for making a donation.

All the tokens were given to Buterin on the note that he will not sell them. For past year, the anonymous developers of Shiba Token have sent 50% of the SHIB token to Vitalik.

As the situation of Covid-19 in India has gone worst, so many of them are doing their best in helping the country. As per the reports, there are more than 350,000 daily cases of coronavirus and more than 3,500 deaths in the last two weeks. The second wave of the disease has hit so badly.
