The report came from, WABetaInfo, a fan site that examines new WhatsApp features. This new feature is said to make debut in version 2.17.30+. Version 2.17.30 had already hit the App Store. However, the recall feature hasn’t been launched yet.

The latest version of WhatsApp in Google Play Store is 2.17.190. Google Play Store is still to get the version 2.17.30. So, we could expect that WhatsApp will probably roll out the version 2.17.30 on Play Store and push the new update on both iOS and Android simultaneously.

The feature will let users edit only recent messages, not the old ones. Users will get a five-minute window to reverse the sent messages. Users can recall text messages, images, videos, GIFs, and even status replies.

However, you must also remember that WhatsApp will only let you recall the messages that haven’t been opened or read by the receiver. Well, the addition of the recall feature is been on the air for long now. The official announcement of ‘Recall’ feature is still pending.
