According to the latest reports, recently, the American multinational semiconductor company, of course, AMD presented at the Computex 2019 its expected processors of the Ryzen 3000 series with architecture Zen 2 of 7nm. These desktop chips are the first to use the architecture of that size, and AMD has already fulfilled what was expected.

In total, there is five processors have been launched, although it is possible that before the release date we may know more models like the possible 3950X with 16-core, and the rest of the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 of which nothing has been shown yet.

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., of course, AMD which is an American multinational semiconductor company has recently, presented at the Computex 2019 its expected processors of the Ryzen 3000 series with architecture Zen 2 of 7nm. These desktop chips are the first to use the architecture of that size, and AMD has already fulfilled what was expected.

In total, there is five processors have been launched, although it is possible that before the release date we may know more models like the possible 3950X with 16-core, and the rest of Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 of which nothing has been shown yet.

All processors will have 24 PCIe 4.0 lines: 16 for the GPU, 4 for storage, and 4 for the chipset. However, AMD has not played it and has put all the content in a bowl with this architecture, unlike the previous generation where they left aside the 2800X. In this case, they have left the model with 16-core for later, and we will see if they can get a frequency even higher than the 3900X or not.

The frequency was expected to be higher, and some of the chips reached 4.9GHz to 5GHz, but finally the maximum of the announced remains at 4.6GHz, which balance with an improvement in the IPC of around 15% to perform as Intel’s equivalents and surpass them in all ranges.

Here are the chips presented by AMD:-

  • Ryzen 9 3900X: 12-core, 24 threads, 3.8GHz base frequency and 4.6GHz of boost frequency, Cache L2 (6MB) + L3 (64MB) of 70MB, TDP 105W, Price is $499.
  • Ryzen 7 3800X: 8-core, 16 threads, 3.9GHz of base frequency and 4.5GHz of boost frequency, Cache L2 (4MB) + L3 (32MB) of 36MB, TDP 105W. Price is $399.
  • Ryzen 7 3700X: 8-core, 16 threads, 3.6GHz of base frequency and 4.4GHz of boost frequency, Cache L2 (4MB) + L3 (32MB) of 36MB, TDP 65W. Price is $329.
  • Ryzen 5 3600X: 6-core, 12 threads, 3.8GHz base frequency and 4.4GHz of boost frequency, Cache L2 (3MB) + L3 (32MB) of 36MB, TDP 95W. Price is $249.
  • Ryzen 5 3600: 6-core, 12 threads, 3.6GHz of base frequency and 4.2GHz of boost frequency, Cache L2 (3MB) + L3 (32MB) of 36MB, TDP 65W, Price is $149.

The Ryzen 7 3700X is one of the real monsters, which will offer excellent performance for a tight budget price tag of $329 and not only that even it also has very low consumption rate of 65 watts.

It is likely that this was the chip they showed at CES, matching the performance of Intel’s Core i7-9700K with 40% less power consumption, which simply made many PC gamers to opt for this chip without any doubt.

At the performance level, AMD has revealed a few figures, as the 3700X is 1% faster than the 9700K, while the 3800X is 1% faster than the 9900K. Multi-threaded brings the destruction, with a 3700X 28% faster than the 9700K, and a 3800X is 2% faster than the 9900K. The key according to AMD is the price, as they offer almost the same performance as Intel offers for just over half the price.

The 5 processors that are recently shown by the AMD will be on sale on July 7, 2019. In addition, they will include Wraith Prism RGB as standard in the case of the 3900X, 3800X and 3700X. The 3600X will carry the Wraith Spire and the 3600 will carry the Wraith Stealth.

Finally, AMD leaves behind the GCN and has presented RDNA, its new design for graphics cards that will debut the first model with Navi architecture of 7nm, the Navi RX 5700. This new architecture will have 25% more performance and 50% higher efficiency than the previous generations.

While the RX 5700 will have GDDR6 memory and PCIe 4.0 interface, with a performance that will be 10% higher than the RTX 2070. It will also be on sale in July of this year, and all its details will be known at E3 of 2019 which will take place on June 10, 2019.
