The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has managed to distribute more than 10 million smartphones on the month of September. As the CEO of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, Lei Jun recently posted the news with a message of celebration on the Chinese website Weibo.
According to the executive of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, Lei Jun, this is the first time that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has sent so many units in a single month.
By way of comparison, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has managed to ship a total of 23.2 million units in the second quarter of 2017, which placing the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi in fifth place in terms of shipments of smartphones worldwide.
So how did the technology giant accomplish this feat?
It appears that the Indian market played a significant role as 10 percent of the phones shipped in September were sold for two days in the South Asian country.
Xiaomi has a new shipment record
This was done thanks to flash sales that commemorated Diwali, one of the most popular festivals of the Hindu faith. Last month, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi also released two exciting new models: the Mi Note 3 and the Mi A1 which has a clean Android interface or you can say that it has stock Android.
These results show that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is enjoying a huge increase year over year compared to 2016. Last year, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi shipped 58 million phones, up from 70 million in 2015.
