We all know very well that Redmi smartphones are well-known for their lower price and they are basically sold through e-commerce platforms only. Xiaomi’s New Sub-Brand To Launch A New Smartphone With 48MP Camera

The well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, of course, Xiaomi will hold an event on January 10 for its new independent brand Redmi. As the well-known Chinese smartphone brand, Xiaomi has decided to create a sub-brand simply to focus on more affordable handsets.

Now according to the latest reports, the well-known sub-brand of Xiaomi, of course, I am talking about Redmi to debut a brand new smartphone known as Redmi Note 7 with the 48MP camera. And not only that even it was spotted on TENAA as well.

Yes, the TENAA documentation reveals few key details about the all-new upcoming Redmi Note 7 which is codenamed as M1901F7. According to the documentation, the all-new Redmi Note 7 will feature a 6.3-inch screen, a 3900mAh battery, a fingerprint reader and a set of a dual camera (48MP).

While now if we look at the photos of the Redmi Note 7, then it clearly reveals a gradient back, where you can see only the brand “Redmi” instead of “Mi” as we told earlier that Xiaomi has now decided to make the Redmi brand independent.

Why did Xiaomi decide to make Redmi an independent sub-brand?

As the Lei Jun, the CEO of the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, of course, Xiaomi explained in the Weibo social network that this change would simply bring more focus to the different strategies of the company.

We all know very well that Redmi smartphones are well-known for their lower price and they are basically sold through e-commerce platforms only. While now if we talk about the Mi devices then let me clarify that Mi simply focuses on high-end devices and have a greater presence in physical stores.

Hence, now the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi will have three smartphone brands and here they are first Mi for premium handsets, Poco for affordable premium devices, and the last but not the least, of course, Redmi for popular low priced smartphones. Basically, it is a strategy similar to the adopted by the well-known giant smartphone brands, Huawei and Oppo. So, what do you think about this?
