The world’s most used search engine, of course, Google, and the well-known giant video-sharing platform, YouTube, is down globally, according to the portal which is specialized in detecting flaws in real-time internet services “Downdetector” has recently echoed the complaints of numerous users.
The failures have started at night and have mainly affected the northeast of the United States. The reports of service failure throughout the day was at usual levels, below the 10 warnings and later have been triggered since 3 pm (US time), when more than 4000 simultaneous alerts have been recorded.
Three hours after the first notices registered, the tech giant Google has reported that the incident was still active despite the intervention of its teams of engineers, who are addressing the second phase of actions to solve it. The company has admitted that during this process users can see the slow performance or periodic errors in services like Google Cloud, G Suite, and YouTube.
Applications like the Gmail, Google Drive have also been affected, in addition to the services grouped under the Google Suite name, which includes Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Groups, or Hangouts. While regarding the popular video sharing platform, YouTube, then let me clarify that Google is already working on solving the problem, but have not provided any more information about their origin or possible causes.

According to the incidents reported on Downdetector, other platforms like the Snapchat mobile messaging service, Vimeo video platform, and the e-commerce developer Shopify have also experienced service failures in the same period.
