But, now according to the latest reports, the tech giant Google just launched an awesome application which is known as Google Neighbor. It is an application of questions and answers that simply allows users to ask about the neighborhood where he/she lives the people who are located near him/her.
However, currently, the application is in the development phase since May, month in which it was launched in a very limited way in some cities of India. Now, this awesome application has expanded to almost the entire country, hence, today we will tell you how it is.
As once you register, the application must determine the location of the user and their neighborhood. Once this step is completed, you can now ask and answer questions from other people in the area. Apparently, since the app is in the development phase, it is not yet restricted to individual neighborhoods, and you can also see questions from users who live several kilometers away as well.
But, the tech giant Google’s most used search engine and Maps can simply give necessary information, but in this case, other human users are the ones who have to respond, with the added value that represents. For example, when asking about a greengrocer, only a regular customer can tell you first hand which ones have the best quality and best offers.
While this all-new application of the tech giant Google also allows you to follow questions and receive notification when someone publishes a response. As it has a social component since users earn points by answering questions and voting for answers from other users.
Even the application also allows you to choose different neighborhoods (for example, work and residence) and offers advice on how to ask the questions to get as many answers as possible.
Moreover, the application does not contain any monetization options, but with user data and information on small businesses can be collected, it would not be strange that the tech giant Google applied some form of profit in Neighbourly.
But, for now, the application will continue testing in India and will expand to other cities that are already on a waiting list. Presumably, if Neighbourly succeeds, it will be exported to other countries as well. So, what do you think about this? Simply share all your views and thoughts in the comment section below.
