Is Google Planning To Kill Android?

If you remember, in the year 2016, the search giant Google teased its mysterious Fuchsia Operating system. Well, since then the operating system has been found making headlines. Several rumors claim that Google is looking to use Fuchsia in place of its Android and Chrome OS operating system.

Recently, XDA Developers’ Mishaal Rahman spotted Fuchsia OS in AOSP’s ART (Android runtime) branch. Well, these findings are something which can change the future of Android operating system because this feature, theoretically, means that Android apps will be compatible with Fuchsia OS.

So, if Google has plans to replace the Android operating system with Fuchsia OS then this new feature will allow users to use the same Android apps on their Fuchsia-powered devices.

However, it’s worth to note that growing a whole community of new developers to develop apps isn’t something easy. In the past, we have seen Microsoft failing at its Windows mobile efforts due to lack of interest from developers.

So, even if Google plans to present Fuchsia as an Alternative to Android, then the latest findings make sense to make the apps compatible. The latest rumors claim that Fuchsia OS could be an all-rounder that can be used to power phones, tablets, and computers.
