Huawei’s HongMeng OS is Faster Than Android and MacOS
If we take a brief look at the smartphone section, Huawei getting banned from using Android has been one of the trending topics from the past month. Things went wrong for the Chinese Giant when Trump Administration included Huawei under the dreaded entity list.
After the ban, the company was not only restricted to sell products in the US but also not able to purchase anything. Out of all those, losing Android is one of the most significant blows for the company.
It’s for sure that after the ban, Huawei is in for lots of troubles. Some questions like what operating system they will use on their future phones, how will they create a Google Play Store alternatives, etc. are yet to be answered.
Everyone staying updated with the latest Huawei news will know that the company is said to prepare a new operating system to replace Android. The company says that they are developing an Android replacement named ‘HongMeng OS’.
Few reliable sources also claimed that Huawei has already planned a discussion with Russia to use Avrora OS. So, what operating system we would see in the future Huawei smartphones is still in a mystery.
It’s also worth to note that recently US President Donald Trump removed the ban on Huawei Phones. That means, both Google and Huawei have been given the go-ahead to work together again. Still, Huawei is said to work on its homegrown HongMeng OS.

In a recent interview, Ren Zhengfei said that the company’s Hongmeng OS is not a traditional operating system for smartphones. In fact, the Hongmeng OS will cover modern categories like Autonomous Vehicles, Internet of Things, PCs, and tablets.
Ren Zhengfei also said that the Hongmeng OS will be much faster than Android and MacOS. The CEO of the company further said that despite US softening ban on Huawei, they haven’t given up on their Hongmeng OS development.
